On behalf of the Lac du Bonnet & District Historical Society and the Lac du Bonnet Youth Centre, we invite you to take part in our Community Tipi Raising at the Lac du Bonnet District Museum.
Knowledge carrier, Cora Morgan, will be guiding us through as we celebrate the innovative structure of the Tipi and explore what the Tipi has to teach us all.
Cora Morgan is the First Nations Family Advocate for the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs and is a member of Sagkeeng First Nation. She is very knowledgeable about the First Nations traditions and culture and lives her life based on the Seven Grandfather Teachings.
Trevor Jenvenne will be drumming and singing in celebration.
Wild Rice and Bannock will be served.
We openly invite everyone to take part in the tradition of raising the tipi. Please join us.
