Discover the hidden behind the scenes of the historic site!
Every place has a story – head north to the homestead to learn ours! Scheduled as part of Historic Places Days, this event focuses on the site’s journey from family homestead to historic site. Explore the displays, view old photographs, and take part in a special treasure hunt that will have you exploring the grounds and discovering new facts about the restoration as you go!
Stop by the photo stations and replicate a Huble family photograph as best you can, peruse past photo albums in the Welcome Barn, and take a special behind-the-scenes tour that focuses on the restoration. Regular guided tours will also be available.
Afterwards, treat yourself to lunch, pie, or candy from the General Store.
Historic Places Days, running from July 11 to 20, is a national event that focuses on increasing visitation to historic places all over the country; these places not only enrich the lives of visitors young and old, but also open the door to discovering new places.
