Discover the historic steam locomotive CN 2747 at Rotary Heritage Park during our Open Gate hours, weather permitting. Museum staff and volunteers will be available to assist visitors with any questions.
CN 2747 is located at Rotary Heritage Park, 735 Kildare Avenue West. The park is accessible from Plessis Road, north of Kildare Avenue West/Transcona Boulevard. There is a parking lot near the Transcona Trail, but please note that space is limited.
The CN 2747 enclosure is accessible for those with wheelchairs, walkers, and strollers via paved and gravel footpaths in Rotary Heritage Park. A concrete pad surrounds the locomotive within the enclosure, allowing visitors to view it up close. Access to the locomotive’s cab is via a single staircase; however, visitors are not permitted to walk or climb onto other sections of CN 2747 or the enclosure structure.
Please be aware that there are no public washrooms available in Rotary Heritage Park. Washrooms can be found at the Transcona Library, located directly across the street.
