
Hank Snow Country Music Centre
In this old CN station can be found a 1974 and a 1947 Cadillac which belonged to Hank Snow who is the only Canadian male inducted to the Nashville Country Music Hall of Fame. Much more memorabilia and beautiful outfits of Hank can be found. Also many country music artists outfits & keepsakes are included here. Visit the train room with history preserved about trains & how the area depended on them. Every week in the summer at noon on Wednesdays at the Gazebo Park area across from the Museum are live shows & a BBQ held. Summer Festivals under the tent are held July 10-12 and a Tribute Country Music Festival August 20-23 with live music and headliners featuring and supporting young and youth performers as well as seasoned ones. Tours are held daily from June 28 to August 30 or by chance or appointment from September 1 to June 27. This site welcomes and provides space for RV travellers for short stays. Learn about the NS Country Music Hall of Fame also housed here. Talented musicians especially youth are showcased in all activities sponsored by the Society. Managed and run by volunteers for over 30 years, this is a special place to visit on the South Shore of Nova Scotia with lots of history and interesting stories to hear and read about. See the live sized sculpture of Hank Snow outside on the lawn. Get your picture taken there!!
