Shine a spotlight on your favourite historic places and win prizes throughout Canada Historic Places Days
During Canada Historic Places Days, we are inviting Canadians to keep the excitement of exploring Canada’s historic places alive by curating a #VisitList. Tell us about your favourite places in your region or where you would like to visit next, whether that’s a historic site, museum, community space or cultural landscape. Participate for a chance to win some great prizes!
Where would you like to visit next?
Bring your travel daydreams one step closer to reality by creating your own #VisitList. Plan out and personalize the journey you hope to take, and include historic places you find intriguing or that already mean the most to you! Share your #VisitList with family and friends, and continue to add to it as you discover more amazing stories from sites across the country.
Where would you return to?
Have you already put some miles on your feet, your bicycle, or your car visiting historic places in Canada? Share your experiences with others through your own #VisitList. Document your adventure, and inspire others to retrace your steps IRL someday soon!
Prizes to be won! From July 1st to 31st, you create and share your #VisitList online for a chance to win one of fifteen $500 VIA vouchers! It’s simple and easy to do with only a few short steps. To enter, set up an account on Historic Places Days – Every Place A Story, start off your one of a kind #VisitList with a catchy title, featured image, and an introduction of at least 100 words to invite online travelers to check out your amazing itinerary. Your #Visitlist should be composed of a minimum of three sites which are registered on the Historic Places Days – Every Place A Story website.
Participating sites can win too! Each time a registered site is included in a #VisitList, it will be nominated to be featured in the National Trust for Canada’s magazine, Locale. The top five most featured sites will be highlighted in the magazine. In other words, by shining a spotlight on your favourite historic places, you’ll help them get the national exposure they deserve!
No purchase necessary.
