Located in the heart of Cape Breton Island this is an original InterColonial Railway Station- the last of it’s kind still on it’s original site between the Straits of Canso & North Sydney ferry terminal. Built in 1886, it is of stacked timber, and houses the office & two waiting rooms on the Main Floor; upstairs was home to the various Station Masters from the age of steam engines through to the last Via Rail service in 1990’s.
