Experience real history in real time. Widely recognized as the best preserved early English colonial site in North America. Today, on-going work at the Colony is changing the way we understand that past. Regular admission includes access to an active archaeological dig, conservation lab, visitor centre, 17th century kitchen and gardens, guided tour, and gift shop. Get hands on with history with our Archaeologist for an Hour, Archaeologist for a Day, and Great Colonial Cook Off programs.

Our Dig for an Hour and Dig for a Day programs allow you to join our crew of professional archaeologists as they dig, sift and record the remains of 17th century Ferryland. We provide the tools and training. All you need is a hankering to get hands on with history.
