Davidson Makes a Point
Join William Davidson, Miramichi’s illustrious Founding Father as he takes you on an impromptu personal tour of his beloved Point. Meet him in front of the little church replica and listen to his tales of triumph and defeat, then follow him as he guides you the church, trading post and historical cemetery where you will learn interesting tidbits of its residents and see William’s final resting place. Tours begin as you arrive. Admission is free but the experience is priceless. In partnership with Character Matters Miramichi Inc. as part of the Miramichi Heritage Network Character Initiative.
Piper At the Point
“Maybe it’s bred in the bone, but the sound of the pipes is a little bit of heaven to some of us” Does the sound of bagpipes stir your soul? Join us under the pines as members from the Moncton District Pipe Band entertain on Sunday afternoons all summer long. Bring your lawn chair and a picnic and make it a full day affair. The acoustics are amazing, and some pipers will meander along the historic trails as the melodious notes float atop the sparkling Miramichi River that cradles the shores of the Point.
